Submission to Select Committee on Cost of Living

The economic circumstances for people with disability are vastly different when compared with those of people without disability. Unemployment figures illustrate that there is a need for targeted action to increase employment rates of people with disability; and we also face additional costs for personal assistance and healthcare services, and unique costs for facilities, goods and services that people without disability do not need.

In this submission, we make several recommendations for addressing these issues as well as presenting four case studies from the community.
