Submit your photos now for 2020 Heritage Calendar

Now is the time to dig out your old photo albums and enter the 2020 Heritage Calendar photo competition which opens today.

The 2020 calendar, Fond Memories, will celebrate people, places and childhood fun on the Sunshine Coast.

Heritage Portfolio Councillor Rick Baberowski said the annual heritage calendar provided a wonderful opportunity to reminisce about days gone by.

"This is the fifth year we have reached out to the public to feature photos from community life in the annual calendar," Cr Baberowski said.

"This year's theme Fond Memories is a fun way to step back in time and relive memories of growing up on the Sunshine Coast.

"We are inviting all community members to dig through their photo albums and send in their favourite photos of the people, places and childhood memories that connect your family history to the Sunshine Coast."

Winners selected for inclusion in the calendar will have their photo credited in the calendar, receive a canvas print of their winning entry, five copies of the 2020 calendar to share with family and friends and an invitation to the calendar launch event.

Entries close at 5pm, Monday, August 12.

The Heritage Levy funded calendar is produced annually to celebrate and remember the region's heritage.

To enter, images can be submitted online via council's heritage website or in person through Sunshine Coast Libraries or council's Customer Contact Centres. Photographs must be owned by the entrant and be available in high resolution digital format, or originals available for scanning.
