Successful and peaceful rally, South Australia

Police wish to thank the community of South Australia for their support and patience during today's rally in Adelaide.

SAPOL, SA Health and rally organisers worked together in planning and managing the event to ensure that participants were able to express their views passionately but peacefully.

SAPOL would like to acknowledge the efforts of the rally organisers and SA Health in developing a COVID-19 management plan.

Assistant Commissioner Paul Dickson said that the interactions between the police and the rally participants were excellent in support of the event.

He said, "We estimate that over 750 people marched from Victoria Square to North Terrace along King William Street this afternoon. Today is a prime example of how successfully the community and the police can come together to achieve a common goal.

"I am very pleased to say that there were no incidents of note".
