Sudden Death Investigation At Cairns

Detectives are investigating the sudden deaths of a man and a woman at Mount Sheridan earlier this evening, May 27.

Police and emergency services were called to a Verbena Drive address about 7.15pm in relation to a welfare check.

Upon arrival, police located a 41-year-old woman, and a 41-year-old man, known to each other, deceased inside the property.

Investigations are underway into the circumstances surrounding the deaths and a crime scene has been declared.

There is no ongoing threat to the public.

Investigators ask anyone with information or relevant footage in the area to come forward.
