Sudden deaths investigation, Urangan

Detectives from Maryborough Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) are investigating the death of two people at an address in Urangan.

Police attended a King Street unit block for a welfare check around 12pm yesterday, January 2.

Upon arrival, the occupants of the home, a 70-year-old man and 68-year-old woman, were discovered deceased.

Police believe the man and woman were known to each other and there is no threat to the community.

Investigators and forensic police remain on scene today and a post-mortem will be conducted to determine cause of death.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed anything or has any relevant information to contact police.
