Super Majority Required For Any Privatisation

Tasmanian Government

Privatisation has today been ruled out by the Government, ceasing work by Saul Eslake.

Tasmanians now know that Dean Winter and Labor cannot be trusted to act in the best interests of Tasmanians.

Labor has forced this early election on the deceitful campaign that our Government intends to divest government-owned businesses - before Mr Eslake's work had been completed.

Mr Winter is so desperate for power, he probably still will.

That's why the Tasmanian Liberal Government will also introduce legislation so that a government business can only be sold if it receives two-thirds majority support in the Parliament.

Mr Winter's actions have shown he is not fit or ready to govern.
