A 60 year old man from Devonport is believed to have drowned whilst swimming at Coles Beach in Devonport.
At 11:30am today, police and emergency services were called to the beach following a report of a man in difficulty in the water.
Following attendance by police and emergency services, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Our thoughts are with the man's family and loved ones.
A report is being prepared for the Coroner.
