Suspended Student Police Officer Charged At Campbelltown

A student police officer has been charged after a prohibited weapon was seized from a home in Sydney's south-west.

A number of registered firearms were seized along with ammunition and a firearm part by officers attached to Campbelltown Police Area Command who attended a home in Eagle Vale about 3.15pm on Friday 19 September 2025.

The firearm part underwent ballistic examination and was deemed a prohibited weapon.

Last Saturday (11 October 2025), a 36-year-old man was issued a court attendance notice for possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit.

He is due to appear at Campbelltown Local Court on Tuesday 25 November 2025.

The man was suspended from the academy on 22 September 2025 and his professional suitability is under review.
