Suspicious fire at Chambers Flat, QLD

Investigations are continuing into a suspicious fire at Chambers Flat this morning, Queensland Police say.

At 8.15am, a fire ignited within a Holden Commodore sedan spreading to a nearby Ford Falcon sedan parked in a carport at the rear of a Rossmore Road home.

The flames spread to the premises, rendering the structure and vehicles damaged beyond repair.

The occupants, a man and women, were able to escape the dwelling at the time of the blaze.

They were treated at the scene by paramedics for smoke inhalation.

A crime scene was declared as detectives and forensic officers work to determine the cause of the fire.

Investigations are continuing.
