Suspicious fire Gepps Cross, South Australia

Police are investigating after a fire started behind the Gepps X Homemaker Centre this morning.

At 6.20am Friday 20 December police and fire crews were called to Main North Road, Gepps Cross, following reports of a grass fire.

Fire crews were able to contain the blaze that burnt about 1.5 hectares of grass. There were no injuries and no damage to property.

Police believe the fire may have been deliberately lit and Fire Cause Investigators have attended the scene to assist with the investigation.
