Police are investigating after a restaurant was extensively damaged by a fire overnight in Mission Beach, Queensland Police say.
Initial inquires indicate about 11.15pm emergency services were called to a fire in the Porters Promenade business after a member of the public reported the fire.
The restaurant was closed at the time and the fire is considered suspicious. A crime scene has been declared and investigations will continue in the morning.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who has relevant dashcam or cctv to contact Crime Stoppers.
