Suspicious fire investigation in Bethania, QLD

Police are investigating after a car was destroyed by fire yesterday afternoon in Bethania, Queensland Police say.

Initial information suggests that around 2pm, a vehicle was located on Church Street on fire.

The fire was extinguished and it was later revealed that the vehicle was before being completely destroyed by the blaze.

Further investigations lead to a residence on Eastbourne Street and where it appears that a firearm has been discharged into a house.

A white Mitsubishi Lancer believed to be involved in both events then attended an address on Muchow Street in Beenleigh later yesterday afternoon and two unknown men walked around the complex with a firearm.

They then returned to the vehicle and drove away.

No one was injured as a result of either incident.

Investigations are continuing, and anyone that may have information about either incident to contact them.
