Police are investigating a fire at Oakden which destroyed a house and a car late last night.
Just before midnight, Monday 14 January, police and emergency services were called to St Michaels Circuit after reports of a house on fire.
MFS crews were on scene quickly however the blaze threatened to move to the adjoining home. It took fire fighters about two hours to bring the blaze under control.
The home and a car in the carport were completely destroyed. The occupants had evacuated the home and no-one was injured as a result of the fire.
Fire Cause Investigators attended the scene early this morning and believe the deliberately lit fire started in a vehicle under the carport.
