Police are investigating after a house was destroyed by a fire earlier this morning at Mission River, Queensland Police say.
Officers were called to a house on Twal Street just after 2am following reports of a disturbance.
On arrival, the house was found engulfed in flames and was destroyed.
No one was inside or injured as a result of the incident.
A 36-year-old man has been charged with arson and two domestic violence offences and is due to appear in Cairns Magistrates Court today via videolink.
Police investigations at the scene will continue throughout the day.
