Suspicious person - Darwin

Police are calling for witnesses to an incident that occurred at approximately 7:30am today at bus stop on Dick Ward Drive, Ludmilla near the intersection with Fitzer Drive.

It is alleged a 10-year-old boy was approached by an adult male in a vehicle who told him to get in the vehicle while showing the youth some lollies, Northern Territory Police say.

The vehicle is described as a small white Toyota, possible a Camry or Corolla, with black rims and tinted windows.

The adult is described as a Caucasian male of short and stocky build, with a long bushy black beard and moustache. The beard and moustache have grey/white through them. He is believed to have black hair with a long white rat’s tail.

At the time the adult was believed to be wearing a black hat and sunglasses, a long sleeved black shirt or jumper with a small dollar ($) sign on it, blue or black jeans and black work boots. He is also believed to be wearing a silver necklace with a gold clasp.

The adult is described as having a wrinkly face and red spots on his arms like sores of mosquito bites.

The youth was able to return to his home safely.
