The Master Plan paves the way for terminal upgrades, expanded freight facilities and supporting future growth.
Sydney Airport will be better equipped to meet future passenger and freight demand following approval of the airport's Master Plan 2045 (the Plan).
Passenger movements are forecast to reach 72.6 million a year by 2045.
The Plan outlines the airport's vision for the next 20 years and includes expansion of the international T1 terminal and redevelopment of the T2 and T3 domestic terminals to support future growth and meet demand.
Expanded freight facilities will also make it easier to move goods through the airport, with air freight volumes expected to more than double over the next 2 decades.
These investments will help maintain vital connections across Australia and internationally, while supporting tourism, jobs and economic growth.
Sydney Airport will continue working with local communities and councils to manage the impacts of future growth, including noise and transport infrastructure considerations.
