Tamworth Regional Gallery launches Tension 2020 Public Programs

Tamworth Regional Gallery

has officially launched its Public Programs for Tension(s) 2020.

The Gallery will be delivering three COVIDSafe Public Programs for Tension(s) 2020 the first of which kicked off yesterday with the first guided tour taking place.

Bridget Guthrie, Director, Tamworth Regional Gallery said, "Public programs create meaningful cultural experiences for visitors to our Gallery. Given the current situation, we've made sure that our programs for Tension(s) 2020 have been designed to accommodate current restrictions, while still providing a welcoming and enriching experience."

In addition to guided tours of the popular Tension(s) 2020 exhibition that will continue to take place every Sunday at 2 pm until the close of the exhibition on 20 September 2020, the Gallery will also be conducting six one-on-one conversations with Tension(s) curator Vic McEwan.

"The one-on-one sessions are open to early career and emerging artists who are interested in professional development and career advice from the incredible Vic McEwan. These sessions will be conducted online and provide an opportunity for Vic to offer his expert advice and guidance directly to artists," explained Bridget.

The final public program on offer for Tension(s) 2020 is a virtual closing event on Friday, 18 September at 6 pm. The closing event will consist of a virtual tour of the exhibition conducted by Bridget and Vic and will feature artists on-line to speak to their work. The online audience will be able to listen and ask questions via the message chat board.

Interested people can book their spot in any of the public programs online via the Tamworth Regional Gallery website.
