Tarneit thief steals cash/jewellery worth $150,000

Detectives from Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit are appealing for public assistance following a burglary in Tarneit in January.

Investigators believe a man drove a white Volkswagen Caddy to an address in St Margarets Court about 3am on 2 January.

It is alleged the man exited the vehicle and climbed onto the roof of the property and gained access by removing roof tiles.

Once inside the property the man stole cash and jewellery to the value of $150,000 before returning to the Volkswagen and driving off.

Police have released images and CCTV of a man they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
