Task Force Southern arrest pair after seizure of stolen excavator, South Australia

Detectives from Task Force Southern have arrested a man and a woman following an ongoing investigation into a stolen excavator.

The excavator, which police know was used in the Mid North, was seized on 12 July by Northern Territory Police after they raided a property at Borroloola. The excavator and trailer was stolen from a property at Meadows in November 2019 and is linked to suspects in the investigation.

Just before 9.30am today (Saturday 16 July), Major Crime detectives attended a property on Booborowie Road at Booborowie and arrested a 60-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman and charged both with theft. They have been bailed to appear in the Clare Magistrates Court on 12 September.
