Taskforce Falcon detectives have charged a man for allegedly coordinating criminal activities on behalf of an offshore Organised Crime Network (OCN).
In May 2024, detectives attached to State Crime Command's Criminal Groups Squad established Strike Force Together to investigate a public place shooting and two arson offences at Briggs Place, St Helens Park.
During the investigation, it was identified four stolen vehicles used in public place shootings and arson offences were being staged at an industrial complex in Smeaton Grange.
As inquiries continued, strike force detectives established a man – then aged 17 – had been allegedly coordinating OCN members, mostly teenagers, to commit serious violent acts.
About 11.25pm yesterday (Thursday 23 April 2026) strike force detectives – with assistance of Raptor Squad – executed a search warrant in Cabramatta.
An 18-year-old man was arrested and taken to Cabramatta Police Station, where he was charged with be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner, knowingly direct activities of criminal group and dishonestly possess interfered with unique identifier.
He was bail refused to appear at a Children's Court today (Friday 24 April 2026).
