Taskforce Falcon detectives investigating two public place shootings in Yennora have released CCTV of a vehicle of interest as they appeal to the public for information.
About 11.20pm on Monday 12 May 2025, emergency services were called to Donald Street in Yennora following reports of a shooting.
On arrival, officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command were told a 29-year-old man had been driving a truck on Donald Street, when a vehicle stopped in front of him.
A man allegedly exited the vehicle and fired several shots at the truck, before getting back into the vehicle and leaving the scene.
The 29-year-old was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for gunshot wounds to his wrist and abdomen before he was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.
Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
It was later identified that a public place shooting on Orchardleigh Street in Yennora at about 11.20am on Friday 2 May 2025 was likely linked. No one was injured during that shooting.
Detectives attached to State Crime Command's Criminal Groups Squad commenced investigations under Strike Force Deurne, before Taskforce Falcon assumed responsibility when it was stood up to combat violent crime in Sydney.
As part of ongoing inquiries, police have released CCTV of a black Toyota Corolla they are appealing for information about.
Detectives believe a female was driving the car as it was captured driving on Matthes Street and Orcharleigh Street in Yennora and Chisholm Road in Auburn on Monday 12 May 2025.
Police are appealing for anyone with information about the vehicle, its movements, or the identity of the driver come forward.
