Taskforce Maxima arrests - weapons and drugs, Sunnybank Hills

As a result of ongoing investigations into criminal offences by gang members, officers from Taskforce Maxima, Organised Crime Gangs Group executed a search warrant on a Sunnybank Hills address yesterday.

The search of the Park Avenue residence resulted in the location and seizure of a taser, flick knife, steroids, cannabis and a large amount of paraphernalia associated to the Mongrel Mob who are declared as an identified organisation under the Liquor Regulation 2002. Two gel blaster hand guns were also located.

A 25-year-old Sunnybank Hills man was arrested and charged with possessing a weapon and possessing dangerous drugs and is expected to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on November 3.

A 26-year-old Sunnybank Hills man was charged with possession of dangerous drugs, possession of property suspected of being used in the commission of a crime and obstructing police. A 29-year-old man from Sunnybank Hills was charged with possessing a dangerous drug. Both are due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on October 8.

A 20-year-old woman from Woodridge was also charged with obstructing police and is expected to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on October 8.
