Taskforce Maxima drug arrest, Gold Coast

As part of ongoing efforts to target the production and supply of dangerous drugs by OMCG members on the Gold Coast, detectives from Taskforce Maxima yesterday charged a Finks OMCG associate with drug offences., Queensland Police say

Officers from Taskforce Maxima executed a search warrant on a Wahroonga Avenue apartment yesterday morning and located two men.

Following a search of the apartment, police located cocaine, amphetamine, Xanax tablets, Viagara and other drugs and drug related equipment.

A 26-year-old man was charged with two counts of possess dangerous drug and one count each of possess utensil and possess restricted drug. He will appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on December 6.

"This is another example of OMCGs dealing in dangerous drugs. Taskforce Maxima will continue to be relentless in our pursuit to target those that take part in criminal activities, particularly in light of current end of school activities being conducted on the Gold Coast," Detective Inspector Phillip Stevens of Taskforce Maxima said.
