Tassie Mystery Millionaire Finally Claims Windfall

A Kings Meadow woman in Launceston, Tasmania, is rejoicing after winning $1 million in the Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4321 on September 13, 2023. The ticket was unregistered, leaving lottery officials waiting for the winner to come forward and claim her prize.

Wednesday draw 4321 on September 13 saw three Division One winners $1 million each, one of whom was known to have purchased their ticket at Meadow Mews News & Lotto in King Meadows.

The ecstatic mother discovered her newfound wealth on the night of the draw, gasping "Oh my god! Oh my god! This is so surreal. I'm in shock."

After checking her ticket and confirming the win multiple times with her husband, the couple decided to visit the newsagency for official confirmation.

"Now we’re at the newsagency talking to you about being a millionaire – what are the chances?! My head is spinning," she exclaimed.

The winner already has plans for her windfall, prioritizing her children and considering home renovations and a car upgrade. The ticket was purchased at Meadow Mews News & Lotto, whose owner, Jeff Dolbey, celebrated his 26th division one winning entry sold in his 24 years of operation.

"There are one million reasons to be happy for this family, and we can imagine the news would be particularly welcome during these challenging times. Congratulations to them and all the best," Dolbey said.
