Tassie Scallop Fiesta Rocks North-east

Tasmanian Government

The State's only dedicated scallop festival will return to Bridport this August for a weekend of Tasmania's finest food and wine.

Premier Jeremy Rockliff said the Tassie Scallop Fiesta had become a key winter event for the North East.

"Tassie Scallop Fiesta is a celebration of our State's maritime and fishing heritage as well as our premium, fresh Tasmanian produce," Premier Rockliff said.

"This year's event will feature more than 40 food and beverage stallholders serving up a range of Tasmanian cuisine along with the finest locally produced wine, beer and spirits.

"As part of our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania, we are backing events such as the Tassie Scallop Fiesta which support our regions and encourage visitation during the off season.

"The Tasmanian Government is supporting the delivery of the event from 2025 to 2027 with an investment of $77,000."

This year's Fiesta program includes chef demonstrations, a range of masterclasses, and the Scallop Splitters Challenge.

"There is something in the program for the whole family," Premier Rockliff said.

The Tassie Scallop Fiesta will be held on Sunday, 2 August at the Village Green and Community Hall, Bridport.
