JOINT STATEMENT FROM FESTIVAL DIRECTOR SIMON BRYANT AND EVENTS SOUTH AUSTRALIA EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR HITAF RASHEED:

It is with a heavy heart that the decision has been made to postpone Tasting Australia, presented by RAA Travel.

Following the Federal Government's announcement this afternoon regarding any non-essential organised public gatherings above 500 people, we have taken the decision out of an abundance of caution.

The decision also follows concerns that a number of our international and national talent were assessing their ability to participate in the festival at this time, and some had already indicated they were unable to travel.

Tasting Australia, Australia's premier eating and drinking festival held in Adelaide and regional South Australia, brings together people from across the state, the country and the world, and it offers experiences those people love and celebrate.

The decision to postpone Tasting Australia is the right one as we want to ensure a spectacular, and importantly, safe experience for all. In light of today's announcement, we would not have been able to deliver the experience that Tasting Australia patrons have come to expect or deserve to receive.

A safe, special and memorable experience for all is something we pride ourselves on. Our commitment is still to deliver that in 2020.

We're working through a revised date for Tasting Australia, presented by RAA Travel, in October/November 2020.

We know spring is a beautiful time of year in Adelaide. And when the world gets on top of this pandemic and the rays of sunshine come through, we hope to together enjoy the full potential of Tasting Australia 2020.

Once Tasting Australia's new dates have been confirmed, a further announcement will be made, and all current ticketholders will have the opportunity to transfer the date of their tickets or receive a refund.

We truly appreciate the support for Tasting Australia. We know there may be questions, and we have tried to answer them in this FAQ document.
