Police are investigating after a pedestrian was injured during an incident involving a taxi at Potts Point this morning, NSW Police say.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Darlinghurst Road and Bayswater Road, Potts Point, about 3.30am tomorrow where an injured man was located on the roadway.
Police were told the man had been speaking to a taxi driver on Bayswater Road when the vehicle drove away, causing the man to be dragged a short distance before falling to the roadway.
The taxi was last seen turning onto Darlinghurst Road and has not been located.
The 22-year-old man suffered cuts to his head and was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to St Vincent’s Hospital.
Investigations into the incident are continuing and officers would like to speak to any person who witnessed the incident and has not yet spoken to police.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
