Teen arrested following pursuit and crash in Lansvale

A teenager has been arrested after a police pursuit in Lansvale this morning where the vehicle allegedly failed to stop and crashed into a wall, NSW Police say.

About 3am tomorrow, officers from Cabramatta Local Area Command attempted to pull over a Toyota Kluger on the Hume Highway, Lansvale after checks revealed it was stolen.

It’s alleged the driver of the vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit was initiated as the vehicle turned onto the Hume Highway from Cutler Road.

Shortly after the pursuit commenced, the vehicle crashed into a retaining wall while turning off the Hume Highway into Willowbank Crescent.

Police arrested a 17-year-old boy, who was a passenger in the vehicle, at the scene. He has been taken to Liverpool Hospital under police guard after complaining of wrist and leg pain.

Officers from Cabramatta Local Area Command are still looking for the three other occupants travelling in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
