Detectives from Dutton Park Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) have arrested an 18-year-old Ellen Grove male within 24 hours of multiple property crime offences across Brisbane.
It is alleged overnight between 10 to 11 September, the teenager was involved with a series of attempted burglaries, the unlawful use of motor vehicles (UUMV), and burglaries.
These offences are alleged to have occurred across numerous addresses including at Imperial Avenue in Cannon Hill, Crowley Street in Zillmere, Dutton Street, Leura Terrace and Gordon Street in Hawthorne.
It is further alleged the teen also stole a Mitsubishi Outlander from Monmouth Street at Morningside and Toyota Landcruiser from Gordon Street at Hawthorne.
Shortly before 10pm on 11 September, investigators and Brisbane Dog Squad tracked the teen to an address in Stafford where he was located allegedly hiding underneath a bed.
The 18-year-old was subsequently arrested and charged with multiple offences including four counts of attempted enter dwelling with intent, two counts each of enter dwelling and commit and UUMV, and one count of enter dwelling with intent.
His bail was refused, and he is expected to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court today, 12 September.
Investigations into the property offences remain ongoing.
