Teen arrested over stabbing, NSW

A teenager has been arrested after another teen was stabbed at Mount Druitt yesterday, NSW Police say.

Emergency services were called to a mall on North Parade just before 4pm (Wednesday 26 September 2018), after reports of an assault.

Officers from Mount Druitt Police Area Command attended and found a 17-year-old boy with a stab wound to his arm.

He was taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment, where he remains in a stable condition.

A crime scene was established and detectives launched an investigation.

Following inquiries, a 16-year-old boy was arrested in Paramatta just after 12pm today (Thursday 27 September 2018).

He was taken to Parramatta Police Station.

Inquiries continue.
