Teen charged after firearm found in Blacktown

A teenager has been charged after he was allegedly found in possession of a replica firearm this week, NSW Police say.

Yesterday (Tuesday 30 October 2018) police attended a home on Stephen Street, Blacktown, and spoke with a 17-year-old boy after receiving information about the possession of a firearm.

A search of his vehicle was conducted, and a firearm was located and seized.

He was arrested and taken to Parramatta Police Station where he was later charged with posses unauthorised pistol.

He was given conditional bail and will appear at a children’s court on Tuesday 20 November 2018.
