Teen charged following car break-ins, NSW

A teen will face court today following several alleged car break-ins at a rail commuter car park on the Central Coast last month, NSW Police say.

Police from Brisbane Water Police Transport Command began investigations after several vehicles were broken into at the multi-storey car park in Woy Woy between Wednesday 19 April and Tuesday 9 May 2017.

Just after 12.30pm today, plain clothes officers arrested a 16-year-old teenager inside the car park.

A search of the teen located several items, which police will allege were used to break into and damage vehicles.

He was taken to Gosford Police Station and charged with 38 offences including steal from motor vehicle (x10), malicious damage (x26), shoplifting and possess implements to enter/drive conveyance.

The teen was refused bail to appear at a children’s court tomorrow.

Further charges are expected.
