Teen charged following house party, NSW

Police have charged a teenager and moved on a number of people following a house party on the south coast overnight, NSW Police say.

About 10pm (Saturday 22 December 2018), police were called to a house on Parkes Street, Oak Flats, near Shellharbour, following a number of noise and disturbance complaints relating to a house party.

Officers from Lake Illawarra Police District arrived to find about 150 people at a party on the rental property.

Police have been told the crowd began to throw bricks and bottles which caused significant damage to the house.

The party was dispersed by the officers, with a number of move on directions given.

Police will allege an 18-year-old woman threw an item at police officers.

She was arrested and taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station where she was charged with throw missile at police officer executing duty no actual bodily harm.

The woman was released on conditional bail to appear in Port Kembla Local Court on Wednesday 30 January 2019.

A resident of the house, a 26-year-old woman, was taken to Shellharbour Hospital to be treated for minor injuries after being struck by a brick.

OC spray was deployed during the incident.

Upon further inspection of the premises, police located and seized two cannabis plants.

Inquiries continue.
