Teen charged following St Kilda armed robbery

Port Phillip Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a 16-year-old boy after a man was allegedly robbed and assaulted in St Kilda earlier this month, Victoria Police say.

It is alleged a man was approached by a group of youths outside a restaurant on Jacka Boulevard just after 10.30pm on 1 November.

The victim was assaulted and offenders attempted to steal his wallet.

A Wyndham Vale boy was arrested yesterday and charged with armed robbery, affray, assault with intent to rob, intentionally cause injury and other related offences.

He will appear at a children’s court at a later date.
