Six people have now been charged following an investigation into the theft of multiple firearms, unregistered motorbikes and other property in the state's central west last month.
Police commenced an investigation following reports that multiple firearms and motorbikes were stolen from a property on the Golden Highway, Uabry, about 33km east of Dunedoo, between Saturday 26 July 2025 and Sunday 27 July 2025.
Investigators attached to the Rural Crime Prevention Team (RCPT) established Strike Force Redhill to investigate the circumstances surrounding the break-in.
Police were told nine rifles, five unregistered motorbikes, two compound bows, power tools, knives, and hunting gear were allegedly stolen from a shed on the property.
Following inquiries, four men and a teenage boy were charged and remain before the courts.
Following further inquiries, yesterday morning (Tuesday 25 November 2026), police attended a premises in Mayne Street, Gulgong and arrested an 18-year-old woman.
A subsequent search of her property located two small plastic resealable bags allegedly containing prohibited drugs.
She was taken to Mudgee Police Station and charged with six offences:
- Give another person stolen firearm (two counts)
- Knowingly deal with the proceeds of crime
- Recklessly deal with the proceeds of crime
- Possess prohibited drug (two counts)
She was refused bail to appear before Bail Division - Court 4, today, Wednesday 26 November 2025.
