A teenage boy has been charged following an alleged assault in Sydney's east yesterday.
About 3.10pm yesterday (Monday 8 December 2025), emergency services responded to reports of an alleged assault at the intersection of New South Head Road and Newcastle Street, Rose Bay.
Officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command were told two 15-year-old boys riding e-bikes had been involved in a minor crash with a car driven by a 48-year-old man.
All parties then allegedly became involved in a physical altercation where a number of bystanders intervened.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the driver at the scene before he was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital for minor head injuries.
Both boys were arrested and taken to Surry Hills Police Station.
Following inquiries, one of the boys has been charged with destroy or damage property and common assault.
He was bailed refused to appear at a children's court today (Tuesday 9 December 2025).
The other boy was released without charge.
