Teen charged over Box Hill stabbing, NSW

A teenage boy has been charged following the alleged stabbing of another teen at a party in Sydney’s north-west this morning, NSW Police say.

Police have been told it was shortly after midnight today, that a fight broke out at a party in a hall in Nelson Road, Box Hill.

A 17-year-old youth was allegedly stabbed during the scuffle and was taken to Blacktown Hospital before being transferred to Westmead Hospital. He is reported to be in a serious but stable condition after undergoing surgery for a stab wound to his abdomen.

Police from The Hills Local Area Command arrived to find more than 100 people at the property.

They were assisted by police from Quakers Hill and Mt Druitt Local Area Commands and the Public Order and Riot Squad (PORS).

After speaking with partygoers, a teenage boy, also aged 17, was arrested and taken to Castle Hill Police Station where he was charged with wound with intent.

He was granted conditional bail to appear in a children’s court on Thursday 29 September 2016
