Teen dies in trailbike crash in Inverell

Police will prepare a report for the Coroner following the death of a 16-year-old boy in the state’s Western region today, NSW Police say.

About 5.15pm (Monday 5 November 2018), the teen was riding his trailbike north along a dirt track that runs parallel to Borthwick Street, Inverell.

At the intersection of Borthwick Street and Eugene Street the rider crashed into a power pole and suffered critical injuries.

Officers from New England Police District arrived on scene and commenced CPR until the arrival of paramedics.

He was taken to Inverell Hospital but was unable to be revived.

An investigation is now underway.
