Teen hit by taxi in Greenacre

An investigation is underway after a teenage boy was hit by a car at Greenacre this evening, NSW Police say.

Emergency services were called to Brunker Road near Anzac Street, about 6.50pm today.

They arrived to find the 14-year-old boy suffering critical injuries after being hit by a taxi.

He was treated at the scene before being taken to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. His current condition is unknown.

The taxi driver stopped while bystanders rendered first aid.

The driver has been taken to Bankstown Hospital for mandatory blood and urine.
