Teen injured in accidental shooting, NSW

A teenager has been injured in what is believed to be an accidental shooting on the NSW Victorian border yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 2.30pm yesterday, three teenage boys – aged 15, 17 and 18 – were in bushland on a private property near Moulamein, about 100km north west of Deniliquin.

Police have been told the teenagers were hunting, when the 17-year-old boy was shot in the back.

He was taken to Swan Hill Hospital for treatment, however, has since been released.

Officers from Deniliquin Local Area Command are investigating the incident; however, it is not being treated as suspicious.
