Teen stabbed in Lidcombe

Police are investigating after a teen was stabbed at Lidcombe yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 11.10pm today, police and emergency services were called to Kerrs Road after a 17-year-old teen was found with multiple stab wounds.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics for lacerations to his legs and torso and was taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition.

Police from Flemington Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene which was examined by forensic specialists.

Initial investigations suggest the teen was injured following an altercation with a large group of males who fled the scene.

Detectives investigating the incident are asking anyone with information to contact Auburn Police Station on (02) 9646 8699 or Crime Stopers.
