Teen stabbed in Nowra street fight

Police are appealing for information from the public after a teenager was stabbed in the Shoalhaven.

Around 2pm Wednesday , four teenage boys were involved in an altercation with a man on Parramatta Street, Nowra, NSW police said.

During the altercation, the man allegedly lashed out with a knife, resulting in a 15-year-old boy sustaining cuts to his torso and arms.

After stabbing the teen, the man left the scene on foot.

Emergency services were called to the location and the 15-year-old was taken to Shoalhaven Hospital for treatment. His injuries are not life-threatening.

An investigation into the matter is now underway and detectives would like to hear from anyone with information that may assist.

The man responsible for the stabbing is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 60s, of medium build and standing between 175cm and 180cm tall.
