Teenage boy killed in single-vehicle crash south of Deniliquin

A teenager has died, and four others injured, in a single-vehicle crash in the state's south overnight.

About 12.30am (Saturday 9 January 20201) emergency services were called to Edward Road, Mathoura, about 35km south of Deniliquin, after a Toyota dual cab utility travelling east, left the road, rolled and crashed.

A 16-year-old boy died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.

Four other occupants of the car were physically uninjured in the crash.

Officers attached to Murray River Police District established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
