Teenage girl charged after man stabbed in Woodcroft

A teenage girl has been charged after allegedly stabbing a man in Sydney’s west last night, NSW Police say.

Just before 10pm (Friday 12 October 2018), emergency services were called to Munmorah Circuit, Woodcroft, following reports a man had been stabbed.

Police will allege the 23-year-old man was involved in an altercation with a group of four people at a fast food outlet on Richmond Road, Woodcroft, just after 9.30pm.

It’s alleged the man was stabbed by a 15-year-old girl, who then fled with the group.

The injured man was taken to Westmead Hospital; however, he has since been released.

Officers from Blacktown Police Area Command established a crime scene and following a search of the surrounding area, two teenagers – a 15-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy – were arrested.

The 15-year-old girl was charged with reckless wounding.

She was granted conditional bail to appear at a children’s court on Friday 16 November 2018.

The 17-year-old boy will be dealt with under the Young Offenders Act.

The group are known to each other.
