Teenager charged after man assaulted in Windsor

A man will require facial surgery after being assaulted by a teenager at Windsor overnight.

About 10.50pm yesterday (Friday 18 January 2019), an 18-year-old man and his friend alighted from a train at Windsor Railway Station.

A 44-year-old man also left the train and became involved in an argument with the teenager.

Police will allege that the teenager turned and punched the man knocking him to the ground.

The injured man lost consciousness while the teenager and his friend left the area.

The injured man eventually made his way from the station and was assisted by a member of the public with emergency services contacted.

Officers from Hawkesbury Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

The injured man was conveyed to Nepean Hospital where he will undergo facial reconstruction surgery.

The two men were located a short distance away and arrested by officers who took them to Windsor Police Station.

One man was released without charge while the 18-year-old was charged with recklessly causing grievous bodily harm.

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Saturday 19 January 2019).
