Teenager charged after police find homemade electronic stun device in southern Sydney

A teenager has been charged after police found a homemade stun device during a search in southern Sydney yesterday., NSW Police say

About 5.15pm (19 September 2017), police were called to a recreational club on Sanoni Ave, Sandringham, following a report of teenagers trespassing on a construction area.

Officers from St George Local Area Command attended the area and searched three youths.

During a search of a backpack police located, and seized, a homemade electronic stun device.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested and taken to Kogarah Police Station.

He has been charged with possess a prohibited weapon.

He was granted bail to appear before a Children’s Court on Wednesday 15 November 2017.
