Teenager Charged After Stabbing - Central Coast

A teenage boy has been charged after an alleged stabbing on the state's Central Coast yesterday.

About 3.45pm (Monday 3 August 2026), emergency services were called to a shopping centre on the Pacific Highway, San Remo, following reports of a stabbing.

Officers attached to Tuggerah Lakes Police District attended and found an 18-year-old man with a stab wound.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition.

Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A knife was later located and seized from a property in San Remo.

Following inquiries, about 9.30pm, police arrested a 15-year-old boy on Sally Close, Lake Haven.

He was taken to Wyong Police Station, where he was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The teenager was refused bail to appear before a children's court today (Tuesday 4 August 2026).
