Teenager dies following Narre Warren South collision

A teenager has died in hospital this morning following a collision in Narre Warren South last night, Victoria Police say.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives believe a stolen silver Kia carrying six people was travelling south along Narre Warren Cranbourne Road when it went through a red light at the intersection of Ormond Road about 7.30pm.

It is believed the vehicle the continued travelling at high speeds along Narre Warren Cranbourne Road when it went through a second red light at the entrance to the Casey Central Shopping Centre and crashed into a white Holden sedan before rolling.

Two of the male occupants from the Kia were airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries however one of them, a 17-year-old Dandenong boy, died about 8.45am.

The other injured male is yet to be identified and remains in a critical condition at The Alfred hospital.

Two more male occupants from that vehicle, a 19-year-old from Hampton Park and a 15-year-old Narre Warren boy, were taken to hospital by road ambulance under police guard.

An unknown male and female fled from the scene and remain outstanding.

Police are appealing for them to come forward and make contact with investigators.

The driver, who was the sole occupant of the Holden sedan, was uninjured.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or has information about those involved.
