Teenager injured and scooter stolen in Orange

A teenager is recovering after being stabbed and having his scooter stolen at a park in Orange yesterday. , NSW Police say

Sometime between 7.30am and 8.30am yesterday (Monday 20 November 2017), A 15-year-old boy was riding his scooter at the Glenroi Skate Park when he was approached by a male.

The teenager has told police the male grabbed him and during an altercation between the pair the 15-year-old was stabbed.

The male was last seen riding the 15-year-old’s scooter towards the hockey fields and Moad Street.

The teenager’s wound is not considered life threatening.

The scooter is a multi-coloured 'Prodigy S5 Envy' model.

The male is described as being in his late teens, of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance and clean shaven. When he was last seen he was wearing shorts and a singlet top.

Police from, Canobolas Local Area Command are investigating the assault and robbery. They are appealing to anyone who might have information on the identity and whereabouts of the man to contact them.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
