Teenager injured at Seaford Rise, South Australia

A young man is lucky to be alive after injuring himself at Seaford Rise overnight.

Police were called to a car park behind Commercial Road, Seaford Rise about 12.45am on Saturday 6 February by reports of an altercation.

A patrol arrived and located a 19-year-old man with a serious laceration to the arm. It appears that he had punched the rear windscreen of car and severed an artery in his arm.

The patrol provided first aid to the young man, who sustained significant blood loss, until paramedics arrived. He was rushed to the Flinders Medical Centre in a life-threatening condition but is now considered stable. He will undergo surgery later today.
